What is Dry Skin?

Dry skin is determined by flaky and rough texture. It can at times feel tight, uneven, and cause irritation such as itching. While for most dry skin can be temporary, for some people it may occur more often and even be a lifelong condition. Dry skin can crack leaving it more exposed to bacteria, although in general, this is not serious, it may cause other skin disorders, for example, eczema, or be more prone to infections if not properly cared for.

What causes dry skin?

  •  Genetics from your immediate family including health status.
  •  Season changes in the weather.
  •  Long, hot showers can strip your skin of its essential oils/
  • As you get older your sebum production reduces resulting in flaky skin.

 

Here at Freedom we have put together a package for dry skin, which includes our Oasis moisturising balm, Lavender Fields body butter, Lavender Fields deodorant, and unscented lip balm. 

Apply Oasis by warming bar in your hands and apply the soothing oils to your face or body. Oasis is a highly nourishing moisturiser with hints of chamomile and lavender. Made from Argan oil, Shea butter and Coconut oil.  Oasis is packed full of antioxidants with anti-inflammatory and antibacterial properties which help to protect, sooth and deeply moisturise the skin. It is high in Omega Fatty Acids and Vitamin E that promote the production of collagen and helps to sooth dry skin. Oasis glides effortlessly over skin leaving you feeling hydrated and fresh.

After a relaxing shower or bath apply our luscious lavender body butter made from 3 amazing and highly moistursing balms oils and butters.

Lavender Fields is a lavender scented moisturising vegan deodorant. Packed full of antioxidants, anti-inflammatory and antibacterial properties which help to protect, sooth and deeply moisturise the skin as well as eliminating odor from sweat. No aluminium, parabens or carcinogens. It allows your skin to breath and perspire naturally and will not block your sweat glands which will allow your body to remove toxins as nature intended

Apply your lip balm at night as well as day time to allow the healing and moisturising properties to work

I love all the body butters. Nothing moisturises my skin as well as they do. They feel so luxurious on my skin. I like to try different scents from the body butter range and the grapefruit and lime butter has nice zing to the scent.

I have searched high and low to find products that actually deliver on their promises and finally I have! I bought the freedom cosmetics Gaia and it has been amazing for my skin during menopause. I imagine anyone with dry sensitive skin would benefit from this. Simply rub it in and the itchiness vanishes. Parts of my skin that haven’t been eczema free for years are now clear. I’m amazed by these products. My skin feels 20 years younger! I have purchased several other products since and all deliver.
I love to support small local businesses and finding one that is this good has been brilliant. I doubt that anyone will be disappointed.
