What is Oily Skin?

Oily skin is characterised by a greasy or shiny appearance. This skin type is prone to acne breakouts frequent in adolescents and young people under 30 years old. Oily skin is the result of excess sebum production due to open or large pores.

What causes oily skin?

  • Hormonal Changes and imbalances like pregnancy or during puberty.
  • The Climate, depending on the time of year and where you live.
  • Genetics from your immediate family.
  • Medication
  • Stress
  • Comedogenic cosmetics (make-up products that cause irritation)

 

We have put together a package for problematic skin which includes our Olympian moisturising balm, The Spa body butter and unscented lip balm. 

Apply Olympian by warming bar in your hands and apply the soothing oils to your face or body. Made with Jojoba oil it helps reduce the overproduction of serum which cause skin problems. Olympian is full of antioxidants and vitamin E which leaves your skin nourished and hydrated. It is filled with flavonoids which are skin-soothing and protective. It also contains sage oil for its antimicrobial properties and its non-greasy so will not clog the pores. Sweet orange contains anti-inflammatory properties as well as being uplifting. 

After a relaxing shower or bath apply our luscious body butter made from 3 amazing  balms oils and butters.

Apply your lip balm at night as well as day time to allow the healing and moisturising properties to work.

I love all the body butters. Nothing moisturises my skin as well as they do. They feel so luxurious on my skin. I like to try different scents from the body butter range and the grapefruit and lime butter has nice zing to the scent.

I have searched high and low to find products that actually deliver on their promises and finally I have! I bought the freedom cosmetics Gaia and it has been amazing for my skin during menopause. I imagine anyone with dry sensitive skin would benefit from this. Simply rub it in and the itchiness vanishes. Parts of my skin that haven’t been eczema free for years are now clear. I’m amazed by these products. My skin feels 20 years younger! I have purchased several other products since and all deliver.
I love to support small local businesses and finding one that is this good has been brilliant. I doubt that anyone will be disappointed.
